Letter to the President

Dear Mr. President,

First of all, I would like to congratulate you for winning the presidential race, Sir. Your victory is a big part of the Philippine history.

As a part of the youth, I am a witness of the country's hardships, especially when it comes to education. Mr. President, I wish you would include education in your priority list. I would be very happy if you will lead the projects that will develop the youth's potentials and skills specially those who cannot afford to go to school. i think it is also wise to have some projects that will aim to enlighten the minds of the confused, to help them overcome their problems and vices and to help them walk the right way. And lastly, please help the abused children, who even work for their families, who work just to have a meal in a day.

I give you my support and prayer. I pray that you may be able to lead our country with your full power and skills, so that we may be able to progress and live a happier and healthier Philippine life and future.

Sa pagkaing tama at sapat, wastong timbang ni baby ang katapat.

Every year during the month of July, we celebrate the Nutrition month. This month-long celebration which is stockpiled with various activities serves as the Filipinos' teacher and reminder that we have to take care of our health, specially if it's the last one we've got.

The theme for his year's celebration talks a lot about an infant's nutrition needs. That is when the parents come in. They'll have to take this seriously. The right food and amount should be observed. And if fed properly, the right weight of a baby will be obtained. It may sound simple and an easy job, but in reality, it isn't. One wrong calculation and a baby might get too chubby or too light and thin. Being able to make a baby healthy this early is a big success for a father and a mother. What we have to keep in mind is there is a big chance that a baby's health and condition today will affect his/her health tomorrow. A mother's milk will still be the best food for them at their early age for them to grow into fine young boys and girls.

Well I'm not saying that only an infant's health must be thought of wisely. Everything that traces its roots back to health must be put into mind and given importance because no one beats a healthy person.
