Sa Pangangalaga ng Wika at Kalikasan, Wagas na Pagmamahal, Talagang Kailangan
It's the month of August again. This month is also known as the "Buwan ng Wika". As a month filled with different activities concerned about the month's name, it serves as a reminder for us to give attention, love and respect for one of our national languages, the Filipino language. It was Mr. Manuel Quezon who made the first move in unifying the thousand islands which were separated by great waters, lack of communication and transportation and by dialects differing from one place to another. With the nation setting foot on one language, the economy of the Philippines progressed faster than before. This helped a lot in the restoration of the land after the war. It did not just helped us, it even saved us. But nowadays, especially the new generation of Filipinos or the ones living in the new world, have nearly forgotten the importance of the Filipino language in our lives. They tend to choose foreign languages before our own which is not supposed to be. We must love and stand by it as a sign of our love also for our nation.
It's not yet too late for us to notice our mistakes and correct them. Remember that this is a piece of our home, where we live in ease with our healthy environment.
